BOISE-BASED GARDEN CENTERS TO MAKE YOUR OUTDOOR SPACE BLOOM

Boise is in bloom. Treasure Valley residents love to garden, and there is no better time to see the evidence of their hard work than in the Spring. Whether your thumb has always been green or you want to try your hand at planting for the first time, there are several local garden centers that offer their wisdom and products.

Zamzows

“Nobody knows like Zamzows” is the catchy jingle that any resident can bring to mind whenever they pass one of the 11 locations scattered throughout the valley. Pet owners can easily (and affordably) get their four-legged friends vaccinated at Zamzows’ clinics.

Those who dream of a green, plush lawn may be interested in Zamzows’ lawn program, a five-step lawn program specifically designed for the Treasure Valley. Or perhaps you just want to browse the plants, decor, feed, and other garden options that are available for purchase.

Edwards Greenhouse and Flowershop

One of the most charming spots in Boise is Edwards Greenhouse and Flowershop. What began as a truck farm in the 1930s has transformed into a 90,000 square foot greenhouse, retail garden center, and florist. Edwards even provides classes for those who want to stretch their gardening skills. Not currently in the market for garden goods? Stop by the Legacy Gardens, a gorgeous spot to honor Edwards Greenhouse and its many years in business.

North End Organic

It is important to note that North End Organic is actually located in Garden City. The 100 percent organic garden center used to be based in the North End, but moved locations a few years ago. While the location may have changed, the focus on organic has not. Not only can you purchase organic products for your outdoor spaces, but the business serves up organic coffee and food at its cafe. From seeds to food preservation essentials, North End Organic makes it easy to grow and eat your own organic food at home.

FarWest Landscape and Garden

Have that one area of your yard that you can not figure out what to do with? FarWest Landscape and Garden’s “We Plan, You Plant” service is the answer. Pick up a booklet to fill out with details and photos of the space, and then a FarWest designer will create a plan specifically for you. FarWest’s landscaping team can bring the vision to life, or you can pick up the items yourself at the garden center. FarWest also provides delivery, installation, and planting services for multiple items, including water features and mulch.

If you need a specific service or item for your yard or garden, please let me know! I am happy to help you track down whatever information you need to make your outdoor space a retreat.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about the ever-changing marketplace or know someone looking to buy or sell.
