If your New Year’s resolution involves focusing on your health—then we have you covered! The Treasure Valley has everything from meal delivery services to personal trainers to help you achieve your goals.
Personal Trainer
If you need an expert to guide you on your health journey, then a personal trainer is a great option. The Fitness Co. is a small, private studio ideal for COVID conscious guests. The trainers wear masks and precautions including social distancing and disinfecting are in place. Our favorite personal trainer here is Stuart MacEwan, you can contact him at #208-412-1390.
Have a trainer come to you! Boise Mobile Fitness makes your home a gym. Trainer Kevin Scrima brings a convenient 45-minute workout to your front door.
Eating Healthy
It is even easier to eat healthy in the Treasure Valley now! Fresh N Lean provides fresh meals crafted by chefs that are never frozen and ready to eat in just three minutes. The meal delivery service caters to various dietary needs, including keto and vegetarian. FEEDmyFIT is a Meridian-based company that delivers delicious and healthy meals to your home and has options for different budgets.
Families in need of easy-to-make nutritious meals, Citrus Pear currently offers pre-assembled meals that can be cooked in a slow cooker or Instant Pot. Visit the Boise Farmer’s Market to find fresh local produce and groceries, or check out the vendors who provide delivery services.
Studios and Gyms
Find a yoga studio that is close to you with Yoga Six’s several locations scattered throughout the Treasure Valley. The studio’s six core classes range from beginner to power with virtual classes also available.
Individuals searching for a full body workout with low risk of injury should consider CoreStrong. This studio is the first in the Treasure Valley to offer the Lagree Method on the Megaformer. Participants can enjoy a workout that combines strength, endurance, core, cardio, balance and flexibility training.
Pivot by KA is a fitness center that provides classes (including cycling!), a 24-hour gym, and personal training. Three-time Olympic Gold medalist Kristin Armstrong has opened two locations of Pivot for locals to join (Boise and Meridian) with two more planned to open.
Or, skip the gym and conquer a yoga class in the comfort of your home. Casey Snider hosts a weekly 9am Friday yoga class. The cost is $8 for a class or three classes for $20. Get your zen on before the weekend!
Mental Health
If mental health is a priority for you this year, it is now easier than ever to find professional help. You can use services such as Psychology Today to find a local therapist for in-person or virtual sessions. There are also websites and apps, such as Talkspace and BetterHelp, where you can easily access therapists.
I hope you find this list useful! Comment below with your favorite health service and send me an email if you are looking for a specific provider.
