THE BEST COFFEE HOUSES IN THE TREASURE VALLEY

Boise has become something of a coffee lover’s destination thanks to the several specialty coffee houses and roasters that now populate the Treasure Valley. We have compiled a few of our favorites for you to peruse.

Slow by Slow

Located in Boise’s BoDo district, Slow by Slow is a hip multi-roaster coffee bar that is perfect for a chat with friends or a business meeting. Order a pour over if you have the time, or grab a latte to go with a delicious pastry from Gaston’s Bakery.

Neckar Coffee

Neckar may have begun as a booth at the Boise Farmers Market, but this local coffee shop is now a destination. Coffee lovers can relax in the quiet, modern space while savoring the locally roasted beans.

Push and Pour

The Garden City coffee shop Push and Pour is ideally located along the Boise River, allowing patrons to either enjoy the venue’s seating options or wander along the Greenbelt with a drink in hand.

Form and Function

Perhaps one of the most popular coffee shops in the Treasure Valley, Form and Function provides high-quality coffee in the heart of downtown. It is no wonder this location is popular with photographers, thanks to the coffee shop’s gorgeous aesthetic. If you are feeling peckish, then consider adding avocado toast to your order.

The District

For a funky feel, head to The District. This spacious coffee house’s large windows and soaring ceilings will make any work or school task more enjoyable. We suggest the spiced chai if you are looking for a cozy drink to enjoy!

Flying M Coffee

Flying M Coffee is a Boise institution, having been a part of the Treasure Valley since its beginnings in 1992. Offering quirky gifts, quality coffee, and welcoming staff, Flying M in downtown Boise is often filled with regulars. There are also locations in Nampa and Caldwell, with the Nampa location being well-known for setting up shop in a renovated 1960s Firestone garage.

Java

If anyone ever asks you about a bowl of soul, just know that they are referring to the popular drink crafted by Java. There are two locations in Boise where you can order this sumptuous mocha: downtown and Hyde Park. Feeling hungry? Java also serves up delectable breakfast and lunch options!

Hyde Perk Coffee House

Family-owned Hyde Perk Coffee House is a warm, inviting spot where you can enjoy a handcrafted beverage or tasty baked treat. Located in the charming Hyde Park neighborhood, you will feel like a member of the family when you patron this coffee house.

We hope this list of coffee shops inspires you to find your new local brew! Did we miss one of your must-visit spots? Let us know in the comments below.
