WHY RESIDENTS LOVE CHARMING EAGLE, IDAHO

Just minutes West of Boise is the charming suburb of Eagle, Idaho. Eagle is known for its small town feel and larger properties, with acreage and equestrian options. With its delightful downtown and an ideal location just bordering the foothills, Eagle is one of Idaho’s most popular cities for relocating.


Eagle started as a farm community on the outskirts of Boise in the 1950s. Since then, it has grown into its own thanks to its thriving businesses, great schools, and close location to Boise.


Eagle may only have a little more than 25,000 residents, but its downtown has a lot to offer. You will find unique restaurants like Rembrandts, an Eagle institution that serves up delicious meals, craft cocktails, and speciality coffee drinks in a remodeled historic church.


If you are in the mood for barbecue, head to Bodacious Pig. Husband and wife owners Joel and Tricia Anderson apply their culinary talents to creating bodacious foods like ribs and Mac-n-cheese.

After you have had your fill from one of the many amazing restaurants, you can stretch your legs with a walk through downtown for some window shopping. Roost Gift and Home Collection stocks a variety of home goods and apparel to be perused. If you love a good deal, then Again Consignment is a must-visit. If you have a sweet tooth, make sure to swing by One Haute Cookie.


For those who love the great outdoors, the foothills are right along the north edge of Eagle and ready to be explored. Right in the middle of downtown is an arboretum park that has 37 varieties of trees and other plants to be enjoyed. To get that adrenaline pumping don’t miss out on the Ada/Eagle Bike park with a BMX course and skateboard park.


Head to Eagle Island State Park for some fun in the sun. This 545-acre park boasts a swimming beach, hiking trails, waterslide, zip line, picnic spots, and disc golf course. It is a daily destination for Idahoans hoping to relax in the sun.
